Titan's!

Skyler's first ever NFL game - the boys had a great time!

Mom, being a great sport and always a big cheerleader for her boys, wore her jersey in support.  We came home and gave her our game ball for giving us the opportunity to get away.

The Aquarium

Never too old to enjoy the Aquarium.

Rainbow Falls - The Ascent

One of the highlights of this Fall Break was the opportunity for Skyler and I to hike together.  We decided to make a pilgrimage up to Rainbow Falls.

A 5.4 mile hike (round trip) that offers amazing views of La Conte Creek and the 80 foot drop known as Rainbow Falls - the highest Falls in the Smokies.

I have conquered this trail before and thought I knew what to expect.  Looking back - that was 15 years and 50 pounds ago.  It turned out to be more of ascent and even rockier than I remembered. That said,  Skyler and I both agreed, it was priceless.

Rainbow Falls - The View

Mother Nature didn't disappoint!  I can still hear Skyler exclaim "Dad, this is awesome."  Amen.

Rainbow Falls - The Peak

With the ascent behind us and the beauty before us, we took the opportunity to pose for pictures and eat lunch on the rocks.

Skyler enjoyed exploring the rock field at the base of the Falls.

Surfer Dude

Skyler made great strides on the surf simulator today.  We love how he walks off each time and declares "I'll never do that again."  Ten minutes later we find him back in line chomping at the bit to try again.

Wardrobe Malfunction

Oops!  The wave pool proved a little much for Skyler's draw string swim trunks.  Turns out you don't need a TV to witness a wardrobe malfunction.

Wild Woody

Having beaten Dad for the first time last Fall, Skyler was anxious to take to the track again.  Two races and two wins for Dad.  Let's see what tomorrow brings.
